Payment Gateway will save you a lot of time - guests can pay directly on your website as they are used to from any other e-shop.
There are 2 possibilities:
- Your property doesn't accept payment/credit cards but you require pre-payment
- You spend a lot of time by sending bank transfer details to guests
- You need to check if the payment was done or you have to send reminders
- If the guest is from abroad - bank may charge extra fees
- You accept payment/credit cards
- Here we have a lot of variables ...
- Guest enters incorrect card details - you need to request new details
- Payment must be done manually on your payment terminal
- Guests need to have the same card upon arrival so you can validate the holder of the card - otherwise they can claim a refund
